Motherhood

Motherhood
for me right now
is pillow fights on freshly made beds
and toothless grins
Long days that reach into night
and early mornings
with hot coffee clutched tight
Emotions
a lot of them,
running high and spilling all over
Poop jokes
and hard questions with missing answers
Cowboy hats
And tutued dancers
Prayers
caught in my throat
and tears
gathered in the corner of my…
